Hi, my name is Cali!

I am a science illustrator, botanist, and nudibranch enthusiast. While I was born and raised in Colorado, I received my Bachelors of Science in botany from California Polytechnic University, Humboldt. There my passion for science communication deepened, and I realized that I needed to merge my two interests of art and science, which led me to the field of science illustration. I then went on to complete California State University, Monterey Bay’s Science Illustration certificate program. To complete the program I interned with the Mitchell Park Domes a botanic gardens in Milwaukee Wisconsin, and The Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Since then I have worked for various institutions and conservation groups, including California Botanic Garden, Sempervirens Fund, and the South Park National Heritage Area.

While my educational background is in botany, I have experience and knowledge in a wide variety of subjects, and am always happy to learn more things!
